Former Chairman of the Buncombe County Republican Party Chad Nesbitt will be competing in the Asheville Toughman Competition. If successful, Mr. Nesbitt will give all prize money to the Shriners Hospital For The Burned And Crippled Children.

Mike Cook, Potentate of the Oasis Shriners of Charlotte NC said, “We want to thank Mr. Nesbitt for what he is doing. He is exceeding the expectations of what Shriners do. He realizes that Shriners make a difference in the lives of burned and crippled children.”

A Shriner himself, Nesbitt has sponsored two children to the Shriners Crippled Hospital in Greenville SC and one to the Shriners Burned Unit in Cincinnati Ohio. He has also helped to raise thousands of dollars in the past as a volunteer in the organization. Chad Nesbitt said, “100 percent of the money Shriners raise go directly to the kids and their hospitals are the most technologically advanced in the world.” Nesbitt said, “Anything I can do to show how important these hospitals are, I will do it!”

The Toughman Contest has been a tradition at the Asheville Civic Center since the 1980’s. Fights consist of 3 one minute rounds with a 60 second break between rounds. Fighters that win Friday night advance to Saturday night fights which they will fight 3 to 4 times until the last man is standing.

A mixed martial artist, Nesbitt has fought in numerous kick boxing and Karate tournaments in his early 20‘s. Now at 41 years old, Chad Nesbitt could be the oldest person competing and will be fighting in the heavy weight division.

Nesbitt said (laughing), “I don’t have to worry about fighting any liberal Democrats this time around because they are to girly to step in the ring and take a punch to the face.” Chad Nesbitt said, “ But seriously, when you see these guys standing on the street corner wearing these funny looking hats, please give money to them because they are fighting for the burned and crippled child!”

Known as the Rush Limbaugh of Western North Carolina, Don Yelton has been bringing local politics to your living room via Charter Cable Channel 10 for years. His show , “The Citizens Speak” is the only local televised talk show in the area. Have a problem in your community? Want to get on your soapbox? Yelton will put you on Television and he gets results. Mr. Yelton’s show is credited for exposing the contaminated CTS Plant in Buncombe County in which locals were getting sick due to illegal dumping of chemicals in the ground water.

Now the local TV producer takes the Citizens Speak Show to the Internet and he is taking “LIVE” calls. Don Yelton said, “I’m going to keep the TV show running on Charter but with the Internet version, the people’s issues can reach a much larger audiance.”

The Citizens Speak Show runs in 9 counties in Western North Carolina every Monday night at 9:00 PM Charter Channel 10. You can see his new practice Internet runs here.

Here is the Press Release 2/23/2012

(ASHEVILLE, NC)
– As a result of studies begun five months ago, the Postal Service has made the
decision to move all mail processing operations from the
Asheville (NC) Processing and Distribution Facility (P&DF) to the Greenville
(SC) Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC). Once the transfer is
completed, the mail processing operation of Asheville P&DF will cease.
There will be no change to the Retail Unit, Business Mail Entry Unit or Vehicle
Maintenance Facility at Asheville P&DF at this time.

The Postal Service has experienced a 25 percent
decline in First-Class Mail volume since 2006, and receives no tax dollars for
its operations, relying instead on the sale of postage, postal products and
services.

“The decision
to consolidate mail processing facilities recognizes the urgent need to reduce
the size of the national mail processing network to eliminate costly
underutilized infrastructure,” said Chief Operating Officer Megan Brennan.
“Consolidating operations is necessary if the Postal Service is to remain
viable to provide mail service to the nation.”

Specific dates have not been set for the
transition. Until a specific date has been announced,
residential and business mailers will continue to be served through the current
facilities.

In December 2011, the Postal Service agreed
to impose a moratorium on closing or consolidating post offices and mail
processing facilities prior to May 15, 2012, to give Congress and the
Administration the opportunity to enact an alternative plan.

This delay was designed to allow Congress
sufficient time to enact comprehensive postal legislation. In the meantime, the
Postal Service continued all necessary steps required for the review of these
facilities, including public notifications, public input meetings and
consideration of public comments.

Implementation of this consolidation is
contingent upon the outcome of pending rulemaking for a proposal to revise
existing service standards. This announcement is provided in advance so that
appropriate planning and notification can be made in accordance with existing
employee agreements.

Recently, The Carolina Stompers contacted the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources in regards to the unsanitary conditions of Occupy Asheville. An email sent back to the Stompers said the following:

From Dexter Mathews -NCDENR

I am copying Mr. Bart Campbell on this response. Mr. Campbell is head of the Environmental Health Section of the North Carolina Division of Public Health. I believe that agency or the local health department would be able to respond to the particular issues you raise in your complaint.

Here is the Carolina Stompers complaint -

Re: Formal complaint and request

Dear Mr. Mathews,

For the past few months, Asheville City Council has allowed Occupy Asheville to camp in front of Asheville City Hall. Their campsite is adjacent to a park where adults relax and watch their children play. Citizens also walk in and out of City Hall daily to conduct business and walk on or near the camp site.

Recently Asheville City Council voted that Occupy Asheville had till noon Friday 2/17/2012 to pack up and leave the city property they were camped on.

We feel the soil and storm water may be contaminated due to Occupy’s lack of being sanitary, no bathroom facility, use of drugs, and reported diseases in other Occupy camps around the country. We are concerned for the safety of kids and adults that may be playing in the area.

We are formally requesting that NCDENR inspect, test, and evaluate the former Occupy campsite for contaminates in ground, water, and air. Upon NCDENR’s findings, enforce laws applicable for the safety of the public.

If you have any questions, please give us a call.

Sincerely

Chad Nesbitt – Chairman - The Carolina Stompers

NOTE – We will continue to follow this as it is developing.

Had enough of the harassment of Occupy Asheville? Well sorry! Your fixing to get harassed again, this time from your pocket book.

Ever since councilmen Gordon Smith, Cecil Bothwell, and the rest of Asheville City Council decided to let Occupy camp out in front of City Hall the Occupiers have been busy pulling up plants, breaking tree limbs, and burying their trash in the mulch their tents were on.

Eddie Harwood was watching the Occupiers from Packs Tavern and said, “The Occupiers put trash in twenty 55 gallon trash containers and city employees hauled it off in a city garbage truck.” Harwood said, “If I have to pay to get my trash hauled off , why doesn’t Occupy have to pay?”

When I went down there to check it out a guy walked up to me and said he saw one of them drop 2 hypodermic needles in one of the trash cans then put trash on top of the needles. So I walked over to the trash can and took the below picture. It was full of mulch and trash and I wasn’t about to dig through it to find the needles. I was concerned. It was after 5:00 PM and City Hall was closed. The only government official I had a number for in my phone was Wanda Greens cell number so I called it and told her to warn the city trash handlers and county landfill personnel. I also called the APD non emergency number and told them the same thing.

So who pays to haul off Occupy’s trash? Answer – You the tax payers. Since the trash is mixed in with the mulch and they raked it all up, who pays to replace the mulch and plants Occupy pulled out of the ground? Answer - The tax payers.

How much will this cost the tax payers? Well, I’m in the trash business and I would charge no less than $1000.00. I showed my landscaper the following video. He wants to remain anonymous but he said, “To get permits, replace all plants, mulch, and re-sod grass areas, around $3500.00.” He said, “But the real cost will be to test the soil for contaminates since they buried all their trash in the soil.” He furthermore said, “If the soil is contaminated then the city will have to take the soil down, (meaning remove), and replace with new soil. This could cost over $10,000.00 because you have to replace tress and all.” Laughing he said, “If a contractor was building a house and the words “soil test” came up, the city, (being so environment conscious) would make them test the ground water and storm run off basins as well.” end quote. Here’s a 30sec video of the destruction -

So what can we do about all this? It’s simple. The people have the power! Hold Asheville City Council accountable! Government agencies are supposed to help “We The People”. So help the Carolina Stompers put the NCDENR to work. On Monday, the Carolina Stompers will be filing a complaint with the North Carolina Department of Enviornment and Natural Resources (NCDENR). We feel the soil and storm water may be contaminated due to Occupy’s lack of being sanitary, use of drugs, and reported diseases in other Occupy camps around the country. We are concerned for the safety of kids and adults that may be playing in the area. Write letters to the editor that says you believe that Occupy Asheville and/or Asheville City Council themselves should pay for the re-landscape and clean up. Not the tax payers. Join the Carolina Stompers! Membership is free! We meet once a month. Contact chadnesbitt@chater.net

Since councilmen Gordon Smith and Cecil Bothwell both support Occupy Asheville and are the reason for allowing them to camp for so long, I would recommend the City of Asheville invoice the two for trash pick up services.

Here is their press release.

RESULTS OF NC-11 GOP CONGRESSIONAL POLL RELEASED BY TEENAGE REPUBLICANS

Contest shows Mark Meadows and his enthusiastic supporters leading the pack of the eight announced candidates

The members of the Asheville-Buncombe Teenage Republicans (ABTAR) are excited to announce the results of the NC-11 web poll that was conducted last week on their website (www.abtar.org). Open for five days during the past week, the poll attracted 1,195 unique votes total. The poll has proven decisive: ABTAR would like to congratulate Mark Meadows, who garnered 41% of the vote in a field of eight candidates — more than enough to win the heavily-contested poll.

This particular poll offered great insight as to the online bases of the candidates and their ability to mobilize their supporters. It was a great illustration of each candidate’s work ethic and dedication; these are values they will need to secure a victory for Republicans in November.

Thus, we offer our recognition to the poll’s winner, Mark Meadows, and runner-up Dan Eichenbaum. Both candidates earned their position through successfully inspiring their supporters to support them in the popular poll.

The web poll was an informative experience and ABTAR looks forward to posting more opinion polls in the future. Thank you to the candidates who participated in the poll, and the community for its strong interest.

What has Heath Shuler done to lower gas prices? Answer – Absolutely nothing. Well wait a minute, that’s not exactly true. On May 5th 2011, Shuler announced his big plan to lower gas prices. He wanted a 45 day gas tax holiday where the average driver in the Asheville area would save a WHOPPING $13.00. Well Zippidy Freakin Do Da!

So if Shuler was so concerned about high gas prices and a self proclaimed conservative, why didn’t he tell his liberal Democrat Party that they should drill off the coast of NC? Why didn’t Shuler tell Obama to build the pipe line from Alaska and even create 500 thousand jobs in the process? Why did’nt Congressman Shuler write a bill that said if the United States renders military aid to a foreign country with oil wells then the USA gets the oil cheap or for free?

It’s because Heath Shuler does as he is told by the liberal leadership of the Democrat Party. If he went against them he wouldn’t get money and endorsements from the base of his party.

The following two videos is another prime example of how this “so called conservative”, has been deceiving the people of Western North Carolina. Now Shuler is endorsing his liberal Chief of Staff to take his place and I hope the voters don’t fall into that trap.

The first video shows Sierra Club Director Micheal Brune endorsing Heath Shuler. Brune is a big shot money man in the NC Democrat Party. The Sierra Club is the Democrat Party’s tool to rile leftist loons, get them to volunteer time, and get Democrats elected to their environmentalist wack job agenda.

(The second video is at a high speed for some reason, it’s not my video), but is Shuler accepting their endorsement, (and money) and he talks about clean energy, blah, blah, blah! The point is, Heath Shuler is a con artist that has voters fooled that he is a conservative that wants jobs and common sense. If this was true he would raise mortal cain with the Obama administration and Democrat leadership over the high price of gas instead of taking money and endorsements from liberal election tools such as the Sierra Club that want high gas prices to further their agenda.
